About

My name is Adam Addicott and I am a freelance tennis journalist. My route into the world of tennis writing began in 2013 after I created a blog called Tennis Banter (http://tennisbanter.blogspot.co.uk). I used my blog to help me develop my skills as I embarked upon the world of journalism. My Blog generated 10,000 views when it was active.

Using my blog as a portfolio, I wrote a few articles for an Irish based website called Pundit Arena to generate some work experience. After Pundit Arena I progressed to my first paid part-time writing job at Tennis World USA (www.tennisworldusa.org). The website has given me excellent and valuable experience. I conducted my first field assignment when I was granted media accreditation at the 2014 ATP World Tour Finals in London.

After my 18-month stint at Tennis World USA, I became the co-editor of ubitennis.net in September 2015, the English version of one of Italy's most prestigious tennis websites.  Working closely with a great bunch of writers, we have developed English section of the Italian website into its own individual site in less than a year. I am also a contributor for tennisatlantic.com, writing weekly reports on the qualifying matches on the ATP World Tour.

For my future aspirations I plan to maintain my commitment to ubitennis.net, however, I am interested in writing out for other websites in order to turn my current part-time work into a full time occupation!
